Service Information Help

Administration

The Service Information screen displays information about a particular service, including:

  • Service Name “Administration”
  • Hours of availability
  • Approval settings belonging to the Administration service
  • Functions belonging to the Administration service

The Administration service allows users to be added, deleted or updated, enables privileges to be assigned for services and provides users with access to accounts.

Approval settings belonging to the Administration service

To give a group the authority to approve other users’ Same Currency Bill Payments or FX Bill Payments, see the Group Information – Service Privilege Details – Bill Payment screen

The Approver option can be set to either:

  1. None (No approval required)
  2. May be the Same User (If creator has approval authority)
  3. Must be a Different User (Approver must be different from Creator)
  4. Must be in a Different Group (Approval must come from a user in a different group)

Note: If you need to change your Approval option you will need to contact your Relationship manager.

Functions belonging to the Administration service

Note: To add or remove access to services with an x or a checkmark next to them you will need to contact your Relationship Manager.

If a function has been assigned to the service, a check mark will be displayed in the Assign column next to the function.

Within this service, access can be assigned to the following functions:

My Accounts The My Accounts function provides a listing of the domestic accounts that have been set up on the ScotiaConnect service.
My Global Accounts The My Global Accounts function displays a listing of all global accounts that have been set up on the ScotiaConnect service.
My Services The My Services function provides information about the services that are available within ScotiaConnect.
User Information The User Information function allows the Administrator to add, delete, or update user profiles.
Group Information The Group Information function provides a list of the groups that have been set up and the users within those groups and enables the Administrator to assign access to privileges
Audit Log The Audit Log function provides an audit trail of activity. Each user’s activity can be tracked over various time periods.
Statements The Audit Log function provides an audit trail of activity. Each user’s activity can be tracked over various time periods.
Self-Administration The Self-Administration module allows a user to request new users and modify user settings.
Agreement Information The Agreement Information module allows a user to view and change

To leave the Balances & Transactions screen, click the Cancel button.
