The Wire Payments Services Information screen for displays the following information:
- Service Name “Wire Payments”
- Hours of availability
- Approval settings belonging to the Wire Payments service
- Over Bulleting Booking Settings
- Functions belonging to the Wire Payments service
- Accounts belonging to the Wire Payments service
The Wire Payments service provides the ability send wire payment instructions directly to the Bank from your PC. Please note applicable wire payment cut-off times in the User Guide.
Note: All settings displayed on the Wire Payments Services screen are for your information only. To make changes to these settings, go to the Group Information screen.
Approver option can be set to either:
- Approval Must Come From a User in a Different Group
(If selected then the User who approves a payment must be in a different Group than the User who entered the payment)
- Must be a Different User
Over bulletin Rate Bookings:
ScotiaConnect automatically provides foreign exchange rates for payments up to $50,000 USD (equivalent). For larger payments a rate must be booked with a trader. You may book your own foreign exchange rates or alternatively, the Bank’s Payment Department will book a rate on your behalf.
If the box next to “Will book own FX rate for over bulletin wire:” says “Yes” then your company is setup to book your own rates for payments over $50,000 USD. If it says “No” then your rates will be booked by the Bank’s Payment Department.
Number of Approvals/Approval Tiers Request for Transfer Settings:
This section displays the number of approvals required for your Request for Transfer payment transactions. The number of approvals required can range from 1 to 3.
By changing the values for the Minimum/Maximum Approvals Required and the Approval Tiers. The Wire Payment Service can be configured to enforce approvals for all outgoing Wire Payments over a certain dollar amount. Using these limits it will also enforce approvals, for any changes to any Wire Payment Templates. Approval can be configured for to 1, 2 or 3 Users.
Note: Please contact your Relationship Manager to make changes to your Approver, Minimum Approvals Required or Maximum Approvals Required settings.
Note: To add or remove access to services with an x or a checkmark next to them you will need to contact your Relationship Manager.
If a function has been assigned to the service, a check mark will be displayed in the Assign column next to the function.
Functions belonging to the Wire Payment service:

Enables wire payment transactions to be created/submitted to the Bank. |
Wire Payment History |
Provides a report of historical wire payment transactions. |
Template Maintenance |
Enables you to create/modify/delete payment templates for beneficiaries you pay on a regular basis. |
Wire Payment Upload |
Enables you to upload full or partial payment information to create wire payment transactions. |
Wire Payment Download |
Enables you to download wire payment transactions or wire payment templates. |
Wire Memos |
Provides the ability to correspond directly with the Bank’s Payments Department. |
Accounts belonging to the Wire Payments service, lists all accounts that have been set up for the Wire Payments service. Click on the Account Number to see details of an individual account. To assign accounts to a users group, go to the Wire Payment Groups Setup screen. To add or remove accounts from the Wire Payments service, please contact your relationship manager.
To leave the Wire Service Information screen, click the Cancel button.
